Brow and forehead lift
Raising drooping brows endoscopically, with no visible scar.
A brow and forehead lift returns drooping brows to where they were and softens deep forehead lines. Often a patient who says "my eyelid has dropped" really has a lowered brow, which is why the right diagnosis matters.
What it corrects
- Drooping brows and a heavy gaze
- Horizontal forehead lines and deep lines between the brows
- Asymmetry between the brows
Techniques
- Endoscopic brow and forehead lift: done with a camera through a few small incisions in the hair, leaving no visible scar
- Temporal lift: only the outer part of the brow is raised
- Direct brow lift: a thin strip of skin is removed just above the brow
Operation and recovery
The operation takes one to two hours and is often combined with eyelid surgery. Swelling settles within one to two weeks. Temporary numbness of the forehead can occur and passes gradually.
