Botox, fillers and mesotherapy
Non-surgical procedures for wrinkles, volume loss and skin quality.
Not every change needs an operation. Injectable procedures soften wrinkles, return volume and improve the quality of the skin. Their effect is temporary, and there is almost no recovery period.
Procedures
- Botox: temporarily relaxes muscle and smooths forehead, frown and crow’s feet lines; the effect lasts three to four months
- Fillers: hyaluronic acid adds volume to the lips, cheeks and jawline; the effect lasts up to a year
- Under-eye filler: reduces the hollow under the eye and the impression of dark circles
- Mesotherapy: vitamins and hyaluronic acid are delivered into the skin with fine needles to hydrate it and add glow
- Thread lift: dissolvable threads placed under the skin raise mild sagging; the effect lasts one to two years
- Botox for migraine: injected into the head and neck muscles for chronic migraine, on the basis of a neurologist’s diagnosis
What you should know
- These procedures should be done only by a doctor: filler injected by someone who does not know the vessels and nerves of the face can cause serious complications
- Botox and fillers are not given during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Injections do not correct deep sagging or excess skin, and if that is your case I will tell you so plainly
- Mild swelling and bruising can last a day or two after the procedure
